Siemens Ukraine engineering and technical center is 10 years old!10/14/2008 On the 3rd of October the Engineering and technical center Siemens Ukraine (ETC Siemens Ukraine) – company’s branch in Donetsk – celebrated its tenth anniversary. | All employees of the ETC Siemens Ukraine as well as many guests from company’s office in Kiev were invited to this 10th anniversary celebration event. Siemens Ukraine general director Maximilian Egger congratulated all employees of the center. The first director of ETC Siemens Ukraine, Dean of the German Engineering Faculty of the Donetsk National Technical University (DNTU) Viktor Kalashnikov came back in his speech to the history of the ETC Siemens Ukraine foundation and evaluated the work of those members who worked at ground zero of the ETC Siemens Ukraine. |
In 1992 the DNTU in association with the concern Siemens established the first in Ukraine German Engineering Faculty. The first graduates of this faculty made up the personnel of a new Engineering and technical center, founded in 1998. There were 14 employees at that time. Nowadays ETC Siemens Ukraine is a successful company that provides engineering services to Ukrainian and foreign customers. During these 10 years of successful activity in Ukraine the number of employees increased up to 150 specialists. A new impulse for ETC Siemens Ukraine development gave the foundation of a new department of metallurgical technologies in 2008, which represents interests of Siemens VAI Metals Technologies – the leading European supplier of industrial units for metallurgical works.
